Another score for The Four as the prime time singing competition from Armoza Formats has now been commissioned in Colombia by Canal 1.
The 90-120’ format sees singers selected by a panel of top music industry judges, who will ultimately select the best four. In every episode singers have to face talented hopefuls trying to steal their seat. Anyone can become a contestant at any time via submissions on the dedicated app, but only the best will be able to challenge the four. The four superstar-quality finalists will be announced in the season premiere.
The new adaptation will begin airing daily in prime time in early March 2019 and is set to air live under the name The Four: Los Cuatro Finalistas. The new deal sees the programme complete coverage in the Iberian peninsula after Armoza forged a deal for Portugal in December 2018 with SP Entertainment and with Warner Brothers International TV Production Spain.
“This deal marks an important expansion for The Four in Latin America. It began to make a home in LATAM with the Peruvian adaptation which has now had four hit seasons on Latina TV,” Commented Armoza Formats CEO Avi Armoza. “We are sure that the show will have the same success with Colombian audiences, in particular because it will also air live, enabling a deeper connection between the viewers and the show and allowing for more real-time interactions.”
